Reflected across multiple É«ÇéÊÓƵ strategic plan priorities is the charge to innovate solutions to benefit student success, increase support and resources for instructors and researchers and introduce enterprise solutions for cost-savings and greater efficiencies.

For the first time, É«ÇéÊÓƵ has distributed nearly every dollar of scholarship funds available to students. The next scholarship application period opens on March 11.

Dozens upon dozens of new projects and initiatives have been launched at É«ÇéÊÓƵ through the strategic plan, many of which are directly tied to the growth of university research, new infrastructure and student success.

An $11.6 million check was presented to É«ÇéÊÓƵ Imperial Valley and Imperial Valley College toward a joint student housing project.

With É«ÇéÊÓƵ alumni industry leaders and networking opportunities, the event is designed to get students ready for their first jobs and careers.

The university received the San Diego Business Journal award for its education and career-training offerings in collaboration with Haiku.

More than 70 students participated in an event designed to train them toward careers in cybersecurity

Nationally regarded education scholar Salvador Hector Ochoa, a University of New Mexico dean, has been appointed É«ÇéÊÓƵ's Provost and Senior Vice President.

Beginning with the fall 2020 graduation period, students will be able to request that their preferred name be printed on É«ÇéÊÓƵ diplomas.

All are invited to attend the April 11 inauguration and investiture of President Adela de la Torre, a once-in-a-generation event.
